GOUGH has announced the appointment of Mark Holligon as a Senior Associate to its insolvency, restructuring and mutual funds groups.
Mark commenced his career in 1993 with the City firm of Theodore Goddard, before joining Pinsent Curtis and then Stephenson Harwood, where he worked for five years as a Senior Associate specialising in insolvency and restructuring.
In 2003, Mark joined Walkers in the Cayman Islands and was admitted as a Cayman Islands attorney-at-law. He remained at Walkers for five years where he specialised in cross-border insolvency and restructuring, with particular reference to hedge funds.
Over the last two years, Mark has been involved in many of the major hedge fund collapses that have attracted global attention. Managing Partner at GOUGH, Paul Kerruish, said that he was delighted to have been able to attract such an experienced lawyer to the Isle of Man and that he believed Gough were now ideally equipped to assist clients (in particular fund clients) through the difficult times that appear to lie ahead.
