Practice Manager

Due to the continued growth of our business, GOUGH | advocates, is looking to appoint a Practice Manager

This strategic role will involve working closely with the Managing Director (and Senior Manager of GOUGH | fiduciary) and will broadly include responsibility for:

  • Management Responsibilities: acting as Company Secretary
  • Financial Management: preparing monthly management information for the Directors, using the firm's integrated electronic practice management system
  • Business Development role: an extensive contact book with leading UK commercial law firms is essential
  • Property and Facilities Management: general supervisory role (working alongside existing office manager) with suppliers of all goods and services
  • Staff: direct line manager for all support staff
  • AML Compliance: supervisory responsibility for ensuring the firms policies and procedures are followed on AML compliance matters
  • Health and safety: ensuring compliance
  • IT: Supervisory responsibility for all of the firms IT functions
  • Maintaining all support services

To be considered for this role you must be an innovative, accomplished and proactive leader with a proven track record of motivating and leading staff. Sound management experience at a senior level is essential. You also need to be highly IT literate, financially astute, have excellent organisational skills, and be comfortable managing in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
